I allow myself to be amazed by small things; the sublimity that can be found in the subtle. Nature is my greatest source of inspiration, with the paradox of my attempts to record the sublime as the greatest challenge. I use photography to capture the fleetingness of a moment, like a shift in light or the howling of the wind. Through this medium, I can share what I see in the most direct and unadorned manner. Rather than actively seek a specific image, I allow myself to be overwhelmed by whatever crosses my path. By roaming in nature, free of purpose, I hope each time to find, and capture, its essence. I do not search, yet I find. And each new find gives rise to new amazement.
